Royal Marines - Iraq

Royal Marines, Royal Navy sailors and British Army personnel exit a US Black Hawk helicopter at Umm Qasr Naval Base in Southern Iraq, November 2009. The small force of approx 75 UK military personnel have returned to Iraq to continue the Iraqi Training and Advisory Mission - Navy. UK forces will continue the mission to train and mentor to Iraqi Navy and Marine forces in order to keep the oil and shipping infrastrucutre in Southern Iraq secure.
