UK Special Forces Officers Held Over Leaks

2 Special Forces Officers have been arrested under the Official Secrets Act, it has been revealed. The 2 men were believed to have attempted to reveal classified information to a 'major broadcaster'. The subject of the attempted leak was not disclosed although it was speculated to be about the ongoing UKSF campaign against the Taliban and Al Qaeda in Afghanistan. The 2 Special Forces officers were released on bail.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said : 'On the evening of Wednesday March 2, officers arrested two men aged 33 and 35 on suspicion of breaching the Official Secrets Act 1989. Both men were taken to a central London police station. On Thursday March 3, both of them were bailed to return to a police station. They were bailed to return in May. Four searches were carried out in connection with the arrests.'
